Router Configuration Modes

Global configuration commands are used to apply configuration statement that affect the system of a router. For accessing global configuration commands, you must be accessed privileged EXEC mode. Now, you have to write command configure terminal or config t. Now after accessing, a command prompt will be appeared where you can specify hostname, terminal, nvram or network. The first configuration mode is sometimes referred a global configuration mode or global config. From the global configuration mode, you can configure several things. This page will tell you some of the configuration modes that can be accessible from global configuration mode.
How to access global configuration mode
To access global configuration mode, you firstly log-in to your router. Then type enable command to access privileged EXEC mode. At last, write down the command configure terminal or config t [in short] and hit Enter key. When you finished all these, you will be prompted to "Router(config)#".
Router>enable Router#config t Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z. Router(config)#
